EPIPHANY TRAVEL

     The idea for "Epiphany Travel" began in 2000 when friends told me they’d be happy to pay for a trip planning service. I guess that once you begin traveling and relating your tales and experiences, people have a tendancy to want to learn from you. I'd been planning trips to Europe and Asia for friends and family since the mid-1990′s and until now, wasn’t charging for my product.  But when I started spending more time getting to know the travelers in order to make good recommendations, I realized that it was a bit more labor intensive compared to doing it for  the people I already knew well. This could be a business... 
 
     I love to research cities...for me it's almost as fun as the actual trip.  I remember in the 7th grade, we planned a road trip for social studies - Our assignment:  Prepeare an itenerary and budget for a two week trip.  I sent letters addressed to the chamber of commerce offices for eight cities in California and within a couple of weeks received bundles of brochures, maps, discounts cards, etc.  I was in heaven.  I knew I had this in the bag - it was like the assingment was made for me.  I typed up a day by day schedule that included historic sights along the way and places to stop and got an A. After we were done, I continued writing and asking for information for every city that I wanted to see in the US and then set my sights on Europe.  (Honestly, I still have some of that information in a box somewhere - don't tell).  
 
     Today, it is a business.  I've taken my loves and my talents and am offering people that either don't have the time or the desire to  do the legwork but still want to enjoy the vacation of the their dreams.
